Forgotten Treasure

[Midnight]

He was about 25 now and lived mostly on the island with the one he loved dear to his heart. He was much better now after the help of some mysterious woman who took him away in the middle of the night from his home as prince of Nightmare. Though he seemed to be better than he was. A more muscular body than before with his weak looking skinny self and kept in his mind to stay in shape work out and look good. Besides he wanted to look good for his lover who decided to run away with him after working as a royal personal body guard along with his sister who he knew was still pissed about the whole thing.

Miko the forgotten prince of Nightmare and no one even really knew who he was now. He stayed away from most people and was seen mostly roaming around the city with a weird ora around him. Most the time he was strolling along the beach looking at the water and enjoying the sand between his bare feets. This was paradise to him and a lot lively in air and temperature than Nightmare was.

Jasper was wandering down to the beach as he thought back on the past. The wild events that lead him to the island and Miko feeling so recent despite the time passed. While he'd watched Miko change he'd barely change himself, still lean and keeping his hair around the same length. He was a touch more relaxed though and happier in general. Life was going well for once and his time with Miko was fantastic.

For her part, Salem had mellowed out slightly and grown a far bit quieter. She tended to keep to the town, patrolling back streets and keeping close to the distance limit between her and her brother. It wasn't uncommon for her to disappear for a day or two either, yet she'd never explain to Jasper when he asked. It was one of the only real stresses he ran into now a days.

He started to hum softly as he reached the beach, hoping to find Miko somewhere along the shore line.

Miko knew that Jasper would come find him sooner or later since he never strolled to far from home so his lover wouldn't worry about him and today he was out in the same spot he always was.Stopping a minute or two to glanced around the shore to see if he could spot him before he continued walking glancing out at the water the was cold and crisp against his feet pondering his new life and what he should make of it. Though working in the city and providing handcrafted jewelry seemed to relax him well enough.

Jasper smiled as he spotted Miko further down the shore and picked up his pace. “Miko!” He called out as he got closer, waving and jogging the last few steps up to him. He let himself bump against him before giving him a hug. “Thought you would be here.”

He gave Miko a quick kiss and then pulled back slightly. “Thinking about anything exciting?”

Miko smiled as he let Jasper hug him as he enjoyed it smiling slightly as he turned and hugged him back lifting him up in his arms slightly.

"Mmmm nope just thinking about you is all.....what about you?"he asked him softly as he kissed him returning the kiss Jasper gave him.

"The same mostly, I was coming to find you after all." Jasper laughed softly and then looked out at the water. "It is a nice place. Odd for things to be so calm now, I like it. I'm almost afraid to figure out what Salem is up to now a days." He shook his head, frowning briefly before looking back at Miko and brightening again.

"I am sure she is feeling her need for evil stuff....I wouldn't let it bother you though I am sure she is fine and if anything happens to her....we'll lets just say I wont hesitate to beat someones ass"He said with a smirk nipping Jasper's neck slightly.

"I am glad it's peaceful now.I can finally relax and enjoy myself and be away from all that pain and drama and....I landed a boyfriend and future husband while I was at it"he said with a smirk. "Hey...you wanna go for a swim?"he asked.

Jasper tilted his head for Miko and chuckled. “That both is and isn’t reassuring.”

He blushed slightly as Miko continued, looking at him a moment. “And I’m very happy to have found the same. I can’t help but feel rather lucky.” He looked at the water again before giving a smirk if his own. “I think that would be nice.”

"Oh come on Jasper you know I care about her like a sister,but she will do what she wants there is no controlling her and if you pri she only gets pissed...."he said nipping her neck next as he smirked. "You know it's cold right..."he teased him as he kept him in his arms and moved more into the water. "I forgot you can swim right...or was it Salem that hated the water?'he asked forgetting.

"And I am glad we are here and not in nightmare"he added.

“I know. And we can both swim, Salem just isn’t fond of it. Especially cold water.” Jasper clung a bit closer as he felt how cold the water really was, seeking warmth from Miko. “Then again I’m really only ok with this temperature if it’s with you.” He laughed and started to purr softly.

“I’m glad we’re here too. Though I do miss some people... I’m more than content having you here and having you happy.”

"mmmm you miss some people...like who love?"Miko asked Jasper softly as he smirked and brought Jasper deeper into the water."awww at least I'll keep you warm with my hot body huh Jasper?"he teased him. "I don't know why,but I am so hot anymore......I love this island though it's so relaxing and peaceful"he said softly.

“I know he made mistakes, but for when I knew him your father was kind. Spike wasn’t always bad either.”

Jasper smiled and kissed Miko’s neck. “You always do, especially with all the new muscle too.” He shivered slightly as they went deeper in. “ It’s like a really long vacation.” He laughed and nodded. “It’s hard to believe things were such a mess not to long ago. Now we can just... be happy.”

“Did you ever figure out exactly who that women was by the way?”

"Yeah...he tried to do his best....and Spike too.....I guess it is time to visit them.It's been a few years I bet he is worried to death."Miko said as he groaned slightly at the kiss to his neck since he was sensitive and blushed."Yeah I been trying to get stronger I don't want to look like some weak emo kid anymore"he said with a laugh.

"Maybe we should go visit my father soon.....what do you say to that?"he asked as the waves crashed against them,but Miko kept Jasper close .

"And that woman.....I didn't know then,but I think I know who it is now.....wold you believe me if I told you that was Midnight.Im sure of it"He added.

Jasper smiled and continued to nuzzle and kiss at Miko’s neck while they talked. “That sounds like a good idea. I’m sure they’ll be surprised to see you like this and glad to see how well you’re doing. Spike will probably be happy you look ready to hold your own in a brawl too. Maybe Salem won’t be as nasty this time around.”

He leaned back slightly when Miko mentioned Midnight and then hummed softly. “ I’ve seen enough odd things not to doubt you. Ghosts, immortals, reincarnations all exist so why couldn’t Midnight come back. You know more than me about her, I was only just a guard at the castle.”

[Midnight]

"Are you saying I could take Spike?"Miko asked Jasper with a laugh."Oh god that old man would crush me...mmm you keep doing that and I'll take you straight to my bedroom instead...you know that's a weak point on me"he whined."and yeah I don't want to break my dad's heart he's lost so much as it is...and yeah maybe Salem would enjoy it...she did make a couple friends there as much as she hates to admit it"he said."and....if we get married well ....she'll be my fathers daughter in law."he laughred.

"Yeah I mean she held a lot of power...no one seemed to want to cross her..she didn't attack the castle only demained that I go with her or she would attack the castle.....and Salem talk to her from what I remember....I never knew my great grandmother just heard sotries of her. "He added.

“Mmm I’m not going that far. I like you in one piece. Just saying even he might be impressed. I got to witness the gradual change while they haven’t seen you in years, like you said” He smiled and blushed, deciding to pause his advances for the sake of conversation... temporarily.“I’m sure Salem will balk the moment you mention anything about her legally being his daughter.” He laughed bitterly. “ Our father ignored me when we did finally meet but she wasn’t quite that lucky. I doubt she hates Kenis as much as she hates that it reminds her of him. I’ll be glad to be an official member of your family though.”

“And it makes sense for someone that strong to linger. I think Salem was fond of her too. Honestly she could be anyone and I’d still be thankful for her help.” He smirked rested his head on Miko’s shoulder. “And maybe it is time to get out of the cold.” He ended his sentence with another kiss.

[Midnight]

"Yeah your right....they probably wouldn't even reconize me "He joked tensingly and smiled at him. "What your cold?"He asked pulling him closer and kissing him back. "Might just take you to my bed."He teased Jasper.

"And yeah my father loves you both...it would bring joy to his heart you know he looked at you two like his own as well. His going to love having a son and daughter in law..I mean....after what happened to mine and all"Miko admitted getting slightly dark on the coversation.

"You might just have to," Jasper teased back before picking up on the more solemn turn of conversation.

"It'll be nice to have an official family for once. A father that actually cares and people who won't frequently just, disappear forever. And hopefully, it'll make up for some of the tragedy that's always seemed to follow your family." Jasper looked into Miko's eyes, his expression soft. "I'd like to help make some good history in your family."

Miko blushed slightly looking back in Jaspers eyes as well."Yeah I would like that as well..it's bene so rough with everything that has happens ....it's a suprize that I ended up here"He admitted to Jasper.

Jasper laughed lightly and nodded. “I wouldn’t have seen myself here either. Guess we both got pretty lucky.” He found Miko’s hand and squeezed it gently. “ I want things to be like this as long as possible. Forever might be asking a bit much huh?” He laughed again. “Love you, Miko.”
